Hi, I’m Emily, Mummy to 3 boys and founder of WorkBabyLife.

The WorkBabyLife mission is to help business’s retain their valuable employees that become parents. We do this by supporting employees to balance their professional and parenting roles. We help them improve their wellbeing, to overcome challenges and achieve their goals and to stay engaged in the business.

A bit about me: My background is almost two decades in the corporate world, predominantly at Mars Inc. across a variety of sales and marketing roles and honing my coaching skills.

My eldest son’s birth in 2013 was an epiphany moment that set me off on a journey of wanting to support other parents. I followed my passion and trained to teach pregnancy, postnatal and baby yoga. Over the next few years alongside my role at Mars, as well as having two more children, I supported hundreds of families on their journeys into and through the early days of parenting.

One of the things I noticed was that it wasn’t the newborn phase that was the most challenging for the parents I worked with, it was in fact the return to work after maternity/parental leave that was the most difficult transition. I discovered the stats backed up what I was seeing 9 out of 10 mothers faced difficulties in returning to work, with 1 in 5 finding it necessary to leave employment. This reinforces the gender pay gap, leaves businesses with high recruitment and training costs and a lack of female talent pipeline.

Hence WorkBabyLife was born at the end of 2020, to provide a much needed service to new parents and help businesses retain talent. WorkbabyLife  combines holistic wellbeing support with educational group workshops and 1:1 coaching to create an impactful programme.

Over the last 3 years WorkBabyLife has partnered with a broad spectrum of organisations from start up to FTSE 100 across a range of sectors. We understand that the challenges faced can differ based on the size of organisation, sector and location which is why all our programmes are tailored to your specific organisation. The majority of our work is with employees based in the UK, however all our services can be remote enabling us to operate globally having supported people in the US and Nordics.

The organisations we work with tell us they have benefited from improved employee wellbeing, increased engagement, and talent retention. We are incredibly proud of our 100% client retention rate and that 100% of attendees of would recommend the programme to their colleagues.

We love working with organisations who recognise that putting their people first pays back. We would love to chat to you about how WorkBabyLife could benefit your organisation.
